Among the more anticipated shows in Houston for 2020 was "Come Through," a collaboration between the experimental folk ensemble Bon Iver and TU Dance, which was coming to town through the Society for the Performing Arts Houston for two dates in February.
According to the Star-Tribune, the decision to pull the plug on the tour follows the resignation of Uri Sands, the co-founder of TU Dance, who was hit with a sexual harassment lawsuit by a former employee.
The tour cancellation was made through the band and its founder, singer-songwriter-producer Justin Vernon, who tweeted:
Due to circumstances outside our control, all upcoming performances of Come Through have been cancelled. These decisions are never taken lightly by the Bon Iver team; our deepest apologies to fans who’ll miss out on these performances. Bon Iver will be back to your area soon.
The shows were to be the first ever by Bon Iver -- Vernon's Grammy-winning group -- in Houston.
SPAH already pulled the event from its calendar.
