Join Debbie Weist, owner and instructor for Dance with Debbie, for a slow dance lesson just in time for Valentine’s Day. Weist will lead an all levels dance lesson at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. for the “Afternoon of Dance.”
“Dancing is an excellent way to meet new friends, get in shape, and have fun at the same time,” Weist said. “We chose a slow dance lesson for the Morris Graves Museum of Art’s Afternoon of Dance event for its romantic flavor and ease in learning.”
Weist will explain the basic principles of dancing with a partner and teach a simple combination to give folks the confidence to get out and dance when that really slow song comes on.
Weist strives to support and promote ballroom, Latin and swing dance in the community through group and private lessons and partnerships with local organizations. These partnerships include choreographing and teaching dances for the Redwood Coast Music Festival, local theater productions, weddings and more. For more information, go to www.dancewithdebbie.biz.
The Morris Graves Museum of Art is located at 636 F St., Eureka. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for seniors (age 65 and over) and students with ID; and free for children 17, museum members and families with an EBT card.
