LSU's White House dance party is going viral - 247Sports

LSU football made plenty of headlines since Monday night’s magical moment in New Orleans.

From the NFL Draft to a series of coaching changes, it has been all about the Tigers after a national championship victory.

On Friday, that meant a series of memorable moments from the traditional trip to the White House. The visit to the nation’s capital saw plenty of fun behind the scenes as well as Joe Burrow’s presentation of an LSU jersey to president Donald Trump.

It also gave social-media fans a viral “Get the Gat” dance party from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. A video tweeted from Subtweet Shawn quickly went viral.

President Trump honored LSU for its 42-25 victory with plenty of encouraging words about the team and coach Ed Orgeron. He attended the game in person and attended pregame festivities in New Orleans.

“We have very exciting days (at the White House)," Trump said. "Today, it’s about the coach and the team and that unbelievable quarterback (Joe Burrow) and unbelievable players. It’s really my great privilege to welcome to the White House the college football National Champions. The Louisiana State University Tigers."

President Trump brought both Orgeron and Burrow to the podium to speak, and showered plenty of praise upon them both during his nearly 30-minute address to the crowd in attendance.

"This LSU team will long be remembered as one of the greatest in college football history," Trump said. "I just want to say congratulations and (Geaux Tigers). (Geaux Tigers)"

Burrow, who is a veteran when it comes to meaningful microphone comments after his Heisman Trophy comments, also spoke at the White House.

"I'll keep this short and sweet because I'm sure the president has more pressing matters to get to," Burrow said. "It is truly an honor to be here. Thank you for having us so soon after the game so all the seniors could be here. It means a lot to us. This is a moment we will never forget. It truly does mean a lot that you did it so soon, so thank you. It is so awesome to be here. It’s a moment we will never forget. It was a great season, and this was a great way to cap it off. Thank you so much."
